Taulat, 44
There’s no mystery to the name: T.44 is number 44 on Carrer del Taulat, a corner in Poblenou near the park and Bogatell beach.
Third time lucky
Behind T.44 are Agustina Prinsich, a stylist, and Hugo Andrelo, an architect. First they opened La Papa, a concept store and brunch café on Aribau 42; it worked, and a second one followed on Pau Claris 190. This is the third.

A white room, open to the street
In and Out Barcelona wrote of its “minimalist interior”. Breakfast Sommelier, in 2023, described a space of bright white walls and bare brick, openings in the walls onto the alley beside it with more seats, and mostly natural light. And a motto written in marker on more than one wall:
eat – sleep – taulat – repeat
“Por estética y clientela habitual podría estar seguramente en San Francisco o en Londres, pero por suerte la tenemos en Poblenou.”
In deli we trust
Specialty coffee and deli food: that’s how we put it. On the counter, filled croissants, an XL palmier, walnut alfajor, pavlova and dulce de leche cheesecake. From the kitchen, our milanesa sandwich (“a T44 classic for a reason”, as we say on Instagram), the mbeyú and the pancakes with dulce de leche. And to drink, the White Lotus iced latte and the pistachio affogato.
The fortune cookie
Every coffee comes with a fortune cookie. A small thing, which Barcelona Food Experience put like this:
“On my last visit I also got a little fortune cookie with my matcha latte, which was a cute little gesture!”
More than a café
The corner on Taulat is also a meeting point. This summer there were paddle sessions, a T44 summer classic, and a weekend pop-up with @estacionhelados. In September, Barner launched its Indie Soul AW26 collection here with its Barcelona community. And on the table, extra virgin olive oil from @wearegota.
